I am Kendal Runde and I am honored to serve as the assistant principal at Westgate Elementary School. At Westgate, we are committed to ensuring a program of academic and social excellence that meets the unique needs of all learners. Our team at Westgate is committed to carrying out this mission daily and we are eager to serve the students and families of our school community.

I bring with me to Westgate experience from within Westside, in addition to two neighboring school districts where I had the opportunity to serve in various roles. I have served as an Assistant Principal,  Administrative Intern, CADRE Associate, High Ability Learning Facilitator, Teacher Mentor, and elementary classroom teacher. After spending 15 years these varied capacities, I am excited to partner with Mr. Becker in leading Westgate Elementary into our best school year yet! 

As the assistant principal at Westgate Elementary, my first goal is to help foster a safe and positive environment for all students, families, and staff with a strong foundation based in relationships. It is through strong relationships we will ensure a sense of student belonging, growth, and achievement.
