Meet the Principal

  • stephanie Hornung As principal of Loveland School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school website.

Loveland enrolls approximately 320 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Loveland is dedicated to academic excellence and holding high expectations for all students. We are committed to creating a safe and positive learning environment where staff and students promote and model responsible, respectful, and safe behavior.

Loveland provides the necessary programs to help students reach their greatest potential. We offer intervention programs to assist students in becoming proficient readers by fourth grade. We offer math support by providing each student an account for an online math practice program that adjusts as they progress. In order to determine intervention needs, students receive regular benchmark assessments to establish their skill levels and instruction is tailored to match those individual learning levels. We monitor students’ progress on a regular basis to ensure that they are achieving adequate academic growth. We also provide extended learning opportunities, available on our District website under Excellence in Youth/Schoolwide Enrichment (EY Blog). These activities promote project-based learning as well as providing advanced academic support.

Loveland strives to engage students through the use of various means of technology. We offer iPads (1-to-1 technology) to all students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Classroom teachers use several apps and devices for teaching daily lessons.

Loveland has an involved, supportive Community Club (Parent Teacher Organization). The organization helps our school by providing volunteers, assisting with field trips, hosting community events, sponsoring ArtSmart activities each year, as well stepping in any time to help make Loveland great. Please check out their link on our website to learn more about our Community Club.

    Sincerely,
    Stephanie Hornung, Principal
